 Equine Secrets was founded because of a major lack in natural, non-toxic supplements for horses. Horses are such amazing animals and they give us so much! Unlike humans, their digestive systems are extremely complex, to say the least. They cannot handle the type of ingredients that us humans choose to ingest. Senseless ailments are, for the most part, caused by something as simple as an improper diet!
Most horse owners are taught to feed complete feeds that horses can't even begin to process. On top of that our vets and farriers instruct us to give supplements that contain toxic ingredients making it even more difficult for the horse to break down. Why do we have so many injuries and so many behavioral problems with our horses? More often than not, it's because of the FEED!
Our mission is to educate horse owners everywhere about the benefits of feeding what is EASILY processed by the horse. Additionally, we choose to add herbs and amino acids into the diet when appropriate. Herbs are easily assimilated by horses. In the wild, horses consume many herbs. Unfortunately, our pastures do not contain these herbs. Therefore, we need to supplement.
